Welcome to the Southwold & Reydon Dog Owners Group – SARDOG.
We are a volunteer group dedicated to ensuring that Southwold & Reydon maintains its reputation as a dog friendly place that enhances its attractiveness as a place to live & visit. We encourage responsible dog ownership & dog behaviour to ensure that everyone who shares the beach, promenade and other areas can enjoy living and visiting this lovely part of the world.
SARDOG is the ‘voice’ of dog owners in the area and strive to ensure close cooperation between dog owners, local councils and other interest groups and strive to minimise restrictions and controls on dog access to public areas. Read more

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT CURRENTLY, DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON ANY PART OF THE BEACH IN FRONT OF THE BEACH HUTS. THEY ARE STILL ALLOWED ON THE PROM, ON A LEAD. THIS APPLIES UNTIL 30TH SEPTEMBER 2018.
HERE’S OUR FRIENDLY REMINDER OF WHAT WE ALL NEED TO KEEP IN MIND WHEN WE’RE OUT WITH OUR DOGS:
Help keep the Southwold & Reydon Area clean & safe
Always remember to carry some ‘poo’ bags.
Always pick up after your dog wherever you are, especially where people walk, play, park or picnic.
Put bagged dog poo in a dog bin or litter bin, or take it home. (All green wheely and general waste Waveney bins, as well as the black and gold town bins, can be used for dog waste along with official dog bins)
Always ensure your dog is under proper control
